Care instructions
IS MY PRODUCT MACHINE WASHABLE?
The rope collection (excluding products with leather) can be washed in the washing machine. Please use a laundry bag and wash at a maximum of 30 °C on the gentle cycle. Remove all pendants before washing.
HAND WASH
For the Twisted ropes, I recommend hand wash only.
LEATHER CARE
To enjoy your leather products from Rudelwohl for a long time and prevent damage, it's recommended to remove them before water exposure and vigorous play. Leather should never be submerged in water, as this can significantly shorten its lifespan and affect its appearance negatively.
Dirt can be gently wiped off with a soft, damp cloth without rubbing. Regularly applying colorless leather conditioner or beeswax is essential to protect the leather and its color from environmental influences.
DRY
Please do not use a dryer for your Rudelwohl items; instead, allow them to air dry naturally.
For leather products, never place them on a heater or in direct sunlight to dry. This can unnecessarily damage the leather and cause it to dry out.
CARABINER CARE
Carabiners should be regularly maintained and oiled (I recommend WD 40 or Ballistol) after each wash. If the collar or leash becomes difficult to open, it's essential to oil it promptly.
Simply apply a drop of oil into the slightly opened carabiner.
By the way, stainless steel fittings are exclusively suitable for saltwater environments.
DISCOLORATIONS
Over time, the metal parts on the rope collar and leash may discolor. This discoloration is completely natural and unfortunately unavoidable. To remove these unsightly stains, spray some pre-wash spray on the affected areas and let it sit. Then, simply wash as described above, either in the washing machine or by hand.
Discolorations on leather can be wiped off with a soft damp cloth (do not rub).
