Breaking Strength of Carabiners
The carabiners have the following breaking strengths:
Rose Gold (zinc die-cast):
- Bolt snap: 166 kg (for dogs up to 33.2 kg)
- MINI bolt snap: 90 kg (for dogs up to 18.0 kg)
Silver (zinc die-cast):
- Bolt snap: 197 kg (for dogs up to 39.4 kg)
- Scissor snap: 130 kg (for dogs up to 26.0 kg)
- MINI bolt snap: 100 kg (for dogs up to 20.0 kg)
Brass (brass casting):
- Bolt snap: 170 kg (for dogs up to 34.0 kg)
- Scissor snap: 150 kg (for dogs up to 30.0 kg)
- MINI bolt snap: 70 kg (for dogs up to 14.0 kg)
Stainless Steel:
- Bolt snap: 230 kg (for dogs up to 46.0 kg)
- Scissor snap: 426 kg (for dogs up to 85.2 kg)
Note: Carabiners should be regularly maintained with a small amount of oil (I recommend WD-40 or Ballistol). For saltwater environments, only stainless steel fittings are suitable.
